Walnut Street WallJanuary 27th, 2012 / Posted by fp julia / Permalink
I took so many photos of this one wall in our Philly store, I felt like I needed to give it its own post. There was so much to look at, it took my breath away. Artwork, potted plants, memorabilia from around the world had my eyes darting back and forth, snapping away with my camera trying to capture it all. One of the coolest parts? Some of the artwork is actually for sale!

DIY Inspiration: Resurrection FernFebruary 29th, 2012 / Posted by fp julia / Permalink
I first discovered Resurrection Fern a couple of years ago, and the woman behind it, Margaret Oomen, has been inspiring me ever since. Her blog is full of beautiful photography, nature, DIY ideas, and of course her many amazing crochet covered rocks. One of the coolest things about her little projects is that she uses fabrics and materials that she dyed herself using natural ingredients – it was her blog that inspired me to try out my own natural dye experiment! Since I have not yet mastered the art of crochet, I thought I’d share some inspiration – and you can check out a tutorial Margaret put together for some of her stones here, and photos documenting the process of her “missing pieces stone” here.
How pretty are these – she simply put the leaves on the stone, covered with a layer of cheese cloth, and hammered them!
